Secret Ballots Things are going so well in the run-up to the big Iraqi elections that they've taken the idea of the secret ballot to an all new level. It seems that the "identities of many of the candidates haven't been publicly disclosed and are likely to remain secret until after election day." How's that for confidence? In retrospect, perhaps the democrats would've been better off in the last presidential election if they'd kept the name of their candidate secret. In other pre-election news, the Bushies are now trying to lower everybody's expectations for the Iraqi elections. The administration expects problems, low turnouts, and a generally worthless sham election. Well, what id you expect? They learned everything they know about 'democracy' from us.
